Different Groups of People: There are many different groups of people in the Midwest ranging from What Happened Here: Expanded American settlement, Lewis and Clark, Indian Wars, Yankees and ethnocultural politics, Bleeding Kansas. Trends: The Midwest seems to be a mixing pot full of trends from both of the coasts and the south. Fashion and Clothing: You will often see Midwest people wearing leggings, graphic tees, converse, and Nike apparel. Slang: "Swag", "balla", and "You betcha" are examples of slang in the Midwest. Foods: The Midwest consists of a wide variety of everything you can think of, but their specialty is pork and other meats.
